Garage ADU

This Garage embodies a two-bedroom Detached Accessory Dwelling Unit (DADU) within the Lincoln District of Tacoma. The unit was designed to mirror the aesthetic of the primary residence in adherence to the stipulated regulations of the City of Tacoma. Engaging a collaborative effort spanning family members from various locales across the nation, the homeowners orchestrated the fruition of this structure while conscientiously managing costs. The endeavor proved to be a gratifying experience for the owners, prompting aspirations for further development. Anticipating forthcoming alterations to municipal codes this summer, enabling the accommodation of two ADUs on a singular site, the proprietors envisage the construction of an additional ADU atop the secondary story of their principal abode.
